LEGAL NOTICE & PRIVACY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read these notices before sending information or relying on anything presented here.
Attorney advertising
This website is attorney advertising for Usher Law Group P.C., a New York professional corporation; “Proper Wage” is the name of this website, not a separate firm. Mikhail Usher, Esq., Managing Attorney, is responsible for its content. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Our attorneys are admitted in New York, New Jersey, Florida, and Pennsylvania as listed on each attorney’s profile; no attorney practices in a jurisdiction where he is not admitted. Admissions, forum rules, jurisdiction, and facts are evaluated for every matter.
No attorney-client relationship
Visiting this site or contacting Usher Law Group P.C. does not create an attorney-client relationship. Do not rely on the firm to protect a deadline or act for you unless representation is confirmed in a signed written agreement.
This website provides general information, not legal advice. Wage claims are subject to time limits that vary by law and state, and each paycheck has its own.
About the time-limit clock and overtime math
The two tools on the resources page perform simple date arithmetic and simple multiplication on figures you type. They apply general rules and the minimum-wage rates in force on January 1, 2026. They do not account for earlier rates, tip credits, exemptions, tolling, defenses, liquidated damages, interest, statutory damages, or the many other things that determine what, if anything, a particular worker is owed. Their output is not legal advice, not an estimate of the value of any case, and not a promise of any result. Only a lawyer who has reviewed your facts can tell you what applies to you.
How contact information is handled
The guided case-review form prepares an email in your device’s email application; nothing you type is sent to or stored by this website. Messages you send arrive in the firm’s email system and are kept as part of the firm’s intake records. This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It stores your “Reading options” and record-checklist choices only in your own browser (local storage), which you can clear at any time with the reset buttons or your browser settings; the time-limit clock and overtime math store nothing at all. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security. Do not include Social Security numbers, immigration documents, bank account numbers, passwords, or other highly sensitive material in an initial message. To ask what information the firm holds about you, or to request its deletion, email info@usherlegal.com.
